SOMACIS, international leader for the production of high-tech printed circuit boards as well as highly qualified laboratory for industrial research, in collaboration with JETWARE, an IPC Certification Center for CID (Certified Interconnect Designer) powered by 30 years of experience in PCB Design, organizes an IPC CID Course at the headquarters in Castelfidardo (AN), Italy.
This professional development program provides objective evaluation of core competencies in PCB design, based upon industry standards rather than specifications of just one company. Courses enhance and assess technical knowledge: how to transform an electrical circuit description into a PCB design that can be manufactured, assembled and tested.
CID is a valuable professional credential recognized throughout the electronics industry. This technical education holds the most benefit for PCB designers with at least 2 years of hands-on experience. Because Designer Certification builds a foundation in design decision-making and practical application of IPC standards, the program is open to all engineering staff and managers with interest in design: Sales, Purchasing, R&D, Quality, Test.
This CID course can really be an effective IPC graduation which will guide the Designer through the complexity of the PCB fabrication and assembly constraints, as the 3 days CID workshop made in SOMACIS is reinforced by an optional 3 days of training based on the JETWARE-SOMACIS real life expertise of the IPC 2220 series and IPC 7351. This preparation of the official CID program will present a complete assembly process implementation supported by a pertinent selection of PCB design rules and base material, combined to a reliable manufacturing process which will be accessible for a better understanding. It’s a good opportunity for a PCB Designer to live a PCB world immersion before the intellectual performance required by the CID.
The 6 or 3 days course and examination will take place in English at the SOMACIS headquarters in Castelfidardo (AN), Italy in fall 2015: September 8-10 for the preparation training and October 6-8 for the CID course and examination.
